Filler or sealer on irregular or uneven surfaces

CNPetro - Mastic is a grey cold applied self-supporting mastic. It is a petrolatum compound containing inert fillers and short fibers.

It is used for sealing, filling ,moulding and caulking applications. It can be used to contour tank bases and profile irregular surfaces. It is applied prior to the tape application and generally used in conjunction with primer, Petrolatum Tapes or CNPetro Bituminous Tapes.

Minimal surface preparation (SSPC SP 2 - 3).

Prepare surfaces by removing all loose scale, rust or other foreign matter in accordance to SSPC SP2 or SP3 , After Applying a thin coat of primer to the surface. Then, by hand application, mold the mastic to a rounded confi- guration to fill irregular shapes or holes and reduce sharp edged surfaces .
